1. (or LP-gas, LPG, bottled gas)
Industry terms for any material composed predominantly of the following hydrocarbons or mixture of them: Propane, propylene, butanes, and butylenes. Recovered from natural and refinery gases and kept under pressure in a liquid state, they are marketed in liquid form for industrial and domestic use as gas.
2. Generally, any light hydrocarbon fuel that must be compressed to keep it from boiling away. (LPG) Commercial LPG usually contains mixtures of propane (C3H8) and butane (C4H10).
